Regulation of circRNAs on Mammalian Intestinal Barrier Function

摘要: 环状RNAs(circular RNAs,circRNAs)是一类广泛参与各种生理活动的非编码RNA(non-coding RNAs,ncRNAs)。肠道是哺乳动物体内重要的消化器官,通过消化作用为机体提供营养物质和能量,同时也是机体中重要的免疫器官,肠道屏障功能的维持与动物机体健康状况息息相关。近来有研究发现,circRNAs在多种生理活动中具有重要调控作用,其在肠道屏障功能中的调节机制也逐渐被揭示。本文阐述了circRNAs的发现、特点、分类、功能、产生机制,重点综述了circRNAs在哺乳动物肠道屏障中作用机制,并展望了circRNAs在畜牧业中的应用,以期为绿色健康养殖的发展提供一定参考。

Abstract: circular RNAs (circRNAs) are a class of non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) which are widely involved in various physiological activities. The intestine is an important digestive and immune organ in mammals, which provides nutrients and energy for the body through digestion, and the maintenance of the intestine barrier is closely related to animal health. It has recently been found that circRNAs play an important regulatory role in various physiological activities, and their regu-latory mechanisms in intestinal barrier function have been gradually revealed. Therefore, this paper describes the discovery, characteristics, classifications, functions and production mechanisms of circRNAs, focuses on reviewing the mechanisms of circRNAs in the mammalian intestinal barrier and looks forward to the application of circRNAs in animal husbandry, in order to provide some reference for the development of green and healthy farming.
