Sequence and Molecular Characterization of 16S rRNA Gene of Eperythrozoon wenyonii-Hubei Strain

Abstract: The complete 16S rRNA gene of E.wenyonii-Hubei strain was determined by PCR. It was sequenced and blasted. The results showed that the sequence was 98.7% identical to that of Neimark published sequence（AF016546）. The 1 471bp complete sequence was compared with the sequence of 5 mycoplasmas,14 haemotrophic bacteria and Anaplasma marginale available in GenBank. The data were analyzed and a phylogenetic tree was established. The results indicated that the hereditary distance of E.wenyonii was close to that of pneumoniae group，and the hereditary distance was far from Anaplasma marginale.
