Abstract: 480 healthy 1-day-old male parent yellow-feathered chicken were assigned randomly into A and B groups, and each group had 6 pens (40 birds/pen). Group A were fed with wheatbased diet and Group B were fed with wheat based-diet with xylanase( 1.2×104 U/kg diet). On day 16, two birds (closest to the mean weight) were selected from each replication. Sample of jejunum and ileum was collected for the determination of mRNA expression of cationic amino acid transporters. Xylanase significantly increased the expression abundance of rBAT and CAT4 mRNA in the jejunum of yellow-feathered chicken fed the wheat-based diet (P<0.05) and had the trend to increase the expression abundance of y+LAT2 and CAT1 mRNA in jejunum (P>0.05). It had no effect on the expression of rBAT mRNA in ileum but had the trend to increase the expression abundance of y+LAT2, CAT1 and CAT4 mRNA in ileum (P>0.05).
