Abstract: In this study, we cloned part DNA sequence of chicken Camk2d gene and found a C→T silent mutation at 51th bp in exon 15. Genotypes were detected by VspIPCRRFLP in 7 different native chicken lines in this test. The result of Chi square showed there had 3 genotypes (CC,CT,TT) in these 7 lines, and we could find the different distribution of three genotypes in different lines. According to the general linear model, we analyzed the correlation between gene and character among the three genotypes of Camk2d gene in 4 breeds (combinations). The result of variance analysis showed that there had significant correlation between this SNP site and abdominal fat (P<0.01), and correlation between this SNP site and pH value(P<0.05).
