Studies on the Character of Infectious Bronchitis Virus of TJ9602 Strain,HN9604 Strain and BJ9601 Strain Isolated from China

Abstract: Three strains of infectious bronchitis virus were isolated from chicken farm in China, which were TJ9602 strain from Tianjin, HN9604 strain from Henan and BJ9601 strain from Beijing. Every virus strain were studied with chicken recurrent infection, biological characteristics assay, seroneutralization test, localization of IBV antigens, amplification of S1 gene and nucleic acid sequence analysis. The results showed that the three IBV strains were nephropathogenic strains and the target organs were the kidneys of chickens. HN9604 strain and BJ9601 strain shared highest homology of S1 gene sequence with H120 strain. HN9604, BJ9601, M41 and H120 can crossreact in seroneutralization test. In phylogenetic tree HN9604, BJ9601 were located in the cladogram embranchment A that includes H120 strain,they all belong to group Ⅰ. However, the TJ9602 strain is in another cladogram embranchment of group Ⅱ. It shared less homology of S1 gene sequence and shared weak crossreact in seroneutralization test with H120 strain or M41 strain.
