Acta Veterinaria et Zootechnica Sinica (Chinese Journal of Animal and Veterinary Sciences, CJAVS) is one of the earliest scholarly journals in animal and veterinary sciences of China (first published in 1956). The CJAVS (now published monthly), is supervised by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), sponsored by Chinese Association of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine (CAAV), and is edited by the Editorial Committee of CJAVS and Institute of Animal Sciences (IAS), Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS). Its readers include scientists, teachers, students and managers working in the fields of animal husbandry, veterinary sciences and biology. The Journal has earned its reputation by presenting high-level academic and instructive papers, reports and achievements in both Chinese and English. It is included in several well-known domestic and international databases and abstracting services.
